Gujranwala commissioner Zulfikar Ghuman said the van carrying 17 passengers was hit by a mini tanker from behind due to which the nozzle of the gas cylinder in it loosened. Due to a gas leak, there was an explosion in it, due to which the people present in it were burnt alive. 10 including three children lost their lives on the spot. The remaining seven passengers have been admitted to the hospital and their condition is said to be critical. Meanwhile, the drivers of both the vehicles escaped from the spot and police have launched an operation to arrest them. He said that four of the dead are from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
