The Zonal Meteorological Center has issued a warning of heavy rain for many districts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, some districts have been put on heavy rain alert till August 5. At the same time, Jhansi and Lalitpur and surrounding areas are on orange alert. Extremely heavy rains are expected in both these districts.
Yellow alert districts are Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Maharajganj, Balrampur, Saharanpur and nearby areas. As far as the rain situation is concerned in the districts of the state on Monday, Jhansi received very heavy rains, where 98.2 mm of rain has been recorded till 5.30 pm on Monday. Whereas Ghazipur received 66 mm of rain.
Bahraich, Muzaffarnagar and Agra recorded rainfall ranging from 2 to 8.4 mm. At the same time, less than one mm of water rained in Prayagraj. There were showers in Lucknow, but no rain has been recorded. The maximum temperature was 32.4 degrees, which was 1.1 degrees below normal.Similarly, the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.2 degrees Celsius, which was .3 per cent above normal. The humidity percentage was 90, but due to the wind, the humidity could not bother much. The capital will remain cloudy on Tuesday as well, with a slight increase in the temperature expected.
