Rain started in Jhansi at around 3 pm on Sunday, which continued till 7 pm on Monday. During this, it rained continuously for 28 hours. 180.6 mm of rain was recorded in a single day. Earlier, the highest rainfall in August was recorded in 2001. On August 16, 20 years ago, the district had received 174.3 mm of rain.
