Stone collided with Gatimaan Express, accident averted Jhansi. The Gatimaan Express coming from Nizamuddin to Jhansi collided with a stone between Gwalior and Sitholi station on Sunday. However, this did not lead to an accident. The engine grill was definitely damaged. The train driver informed the matter to Sithauli station master. On information, RPF and Railway Path Inspector reached the spot and investigated.
In the railway division, the incidents of stones colliding with the trains on the railway tracks have increased during the rainy days. On Sunday morning at 11 am 02050 Up Gatimaan Express was moving at high speed from Gwalior station towards Sithauli station, when the driver heard the sound of a stone hitting the engine. On the morning of July 2, near the Betwa bridge falling between Orchha and Baruasagar stations, a rock from the hill broke during the rain and came near the track. Meanwhile, two wheels of the engine derailed after hitting one end of the said rock with an empty goods train going from Jhansi to Banda at high speed at five in the morning. Jhansi. A youth died between Anantpet and Dabra stations after being hit by Shatabdi Express. On information, the police sent the body for post-mortem. On Sunday, the 02002 Up Shatabdi Express going from New Delhi to Habibganj was moving from Anantpet towards Dabra station, when a young man came under the engine on the way. This resulted in death on the spot. The driver gave this information to the station master on walkie talkie. On information, police reached the spot. The train could not be delayed due to the incident.
