Jhansi. In Maharani Laxmibai Medical College, the tests have come to a standstill due to the failure of parts of CT scan and fan of MRI machine. The college administration has called an engineer. For the time being, the investigation will not be possible for two days. Many patients had to return due to non-examination of tests even on Monday.
The machines in the Radiology Department of the Medical College have become quite old. MRI and CT scans have come to be called old machines. Due to the faulty fan of the MRI machine, it cannot be tested. Whereas, a part of the CT scan has been answered.
Due to both the tests being very expensive, the emphasis of the patients is to get the tests done in the medical college. Private centers charge a hefty amount for these tests, so financially weak patients are not able to get tested outside. However, the medical college administration has called an engineer to repair the machine. The machine is likely to be repaired in two days.
Had 60 CT's, 15 MRI's daily There is a huge crowd of patients for both these examinations of the Medical College. About 60 CT scans and 15 MRI tests are done daily. The checks are absolutely free of cost for BPL and Ayushman card holders.
