Demand for Bundelkhand state resonated in Parliament

Banda/Chitrakoot. The issue of Bundelkhand state once again resonated in Parliament on Monday. Banda-Chitrakoot MP RK Singh Patel drew the attention of the Central Government by giving a letter to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha in Parliament under Section 377 of the Rules. The MP said that the demand for creation of Bundelkhand state by connecting the districts of Bundelkhand settled in Vidhyachal of UP-MP has been going on for many years. The previous governments neglected it. It has enough economic resources yet it is backward.
The MP said that the area across the Yamuna of Prayagraj in UP and Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jhansi, Jalaun, Lalitpur and Riwa, Satna, Chhatarpur, Sagar, Panna, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Vidisha, Datia of Madhya Pradesh Bundelkhand state can be formed by merging districts like Bhind etc. Its capital can be made Chitrakoot, the taposthali of Shri Ram. The MP demanded action for the formation of Vindhya-Bundelkhand state.
