Jhansi Railway Station: Here even water is not available for free
Jhansi. Big works are being done for passenger convenience at Jhansi Junction, but there is no free water here. There is no provision of drinking water for passengers on platform number two and three of the station. Whereas more than 24 trains stop here daily. Most of these trains are coming from long distances.
Due to non-availability of drinking water, thousands of commuters are forced to buy water at high prices. There is not a single point of water between the 72nd number pillar to the driver’s lobby, between a distance of about five hundred meters. In the evening, passengers run here and there for water as soon as the vehicles are parked on both the platforms. Trains have short halts. Due to low points, it gets crowded here. In such a situation, many passengers do not get water.

On asking the porters present around, the porter pointed towards the other end of the platform. Which is about five hundred meters away from there. Whereas the stoppage of the train is only four minutes. The passengers were forced to return to the coach with a dry throat.
