During the last one month, 478 people gave the online test for driving license, but only 322 of them were successful. The driving knowledge of 56 applicants was found to be very poor, on the basis of which they were failed. Among those who failed, there were many people who have been running two wheelers and four wheelers on the roads without a license for years. Apart from this, even professionals like doctors, engineers could not clear this exam. However, those who fail are given a chance to re-appear for the examination after paying a fee of Rs.50. Be aware that most of the questions in the online test are related to road signs. But, due to lack of proper identification of them, people are not able to give the correct answer.
Data of accidents will be recorded in IRAD Jhansi. Integrated Road Accident Data (IRAD) is being prepared to collect the details of road accidents. Apart from the Transport Department, the Police, Public Works Department, Municipal Corporation and Health Department will also be added to this. Everyone will have to enter the information related to the accident on this portal. After registering the accident information on the portal, the reasons for the same will be searched. If accidents are happening continuously at the same place, then the fault of the road will be found in it and rectified.Where the police is more needed for accident control and where the health department has to be active, it will also be decided through the information recorded on the portal.
Common questions related to road signs are asked in the test of driving license. It is better that the applicants should get information about it before the test. At the same time, IRAD portal is being prepared to keep the data related to road accidents at one place, through which accident control measures will be taken. - Satyendra Kumar, Arto
